Worship Service

The New Testament picture of the Christian Community - we need each other whether we feel like it or not. We are more faithful disciples and truer reflections of our Lord when we do not try to do it by ourselves. Gathering together for worship, offering one another prayer and accountability, teaching one another and being taught, are all ways God intends for us to be blessed in ways that require others;

our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Sunday Worship & Music

We gather each Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00 to worship God with prayer, song, confession, scripture and the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Our worship service is liturgical in style and intertwines contemporary music with traditional hymns. The sermons focus on the Word of God  and how it can be incorporated into daily life.

Music is a vital and integral part of our worship services at Christ the King. We incorporate a variety of music and musical styles to enhance the worship experience. A beautiful pipe organ is used regularly to lead and accompany the congregation in liturgy and hymns. Whether a vocalist or instrumentalist, Christ the King has choirs for all ages, small vocal ensembles and solo opportunities accompanied by guitar, brass, woodwinds and piano.

Special Services

Throughout the year there are seasons where Christ the King holds midweek and special services. During the seasons of Advent (leading up to Christmas) and Lent (Ash Wednesday to Holy Week), worship services are held Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.  We also celebrate Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Reformation, Ascension and Pentecost with worship.   Special services will be listed on our Calendar of Events as they are held.
