Pastor Mark

     Rev. Mark Goble

Pastor Goble began his tenure at Christ the King Lutheran Church in 1997. He grew up in Virginia attending Old Dominion University where he earned a BA in Mass Communication.  Following graduation, Pastor Mark went to work for Campbell's Soup Company.  God led him to the ministry after four years.  He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO with his Masters of Divinity in 1997 and received his first Call to Christ the King as Associate Pastor.


Pastor Mark and his wife Kim have three children; two sons -  both UT Knoxville graduates and a daughter who is in her second year at UT Knoxville.   All three are graduates of Christ the King Lutheran Elementary Day School.  They enjoy traveling as a family and experiencing the majesty of God’s creation. Pastor Mark is an avid reader and loves to listen to classical music, (the Beatles and the Eagles). He enjoys working with best friend (Pastor Chuck) and feels the leadership team at Christ the King is a blessing to him, the congregation and the community.
